Academic Pillar Strategy Get back in the habit of holding a monthly meeting with the Faculty Academic Advisor to plan support. Have Academic Officer prepare a fact sheet on services offered by the ASC and take all deficient cadets and other interested cadets on an orientation tour at the start of the semester. Review the grades of the company and counsel each cadet with a GPA below 2.5 during Reconstitution Week. With the cadet and the Academic Officer, develop an individualized plan for academic improvement for those cadets. Have the Faculty Academic Advisor meet with those cadets monthly. Continue having duty team, Academic Officer, and chain of command do walk through inspections to monitor ESP. Write a SOP for this and submit to the BN Academic Officer for consideration as a BN policy.

Military Pillar Strategy Ensure that drill master is making corrections during practice parade. Drill master should come up with a remedial drill plan and brief it to company commander in order to have the company train in open blocks of time. Enforce disciplinary actions for people who talk and break military bearing during parade. Enforce strict uniform inspections once a day during formation. Keep squad sergeants accountable for their subordinates’ actions.

Moral-Ethical Strategy Honor representatives need to make more of an effort to assist in honor situations and answering any questions that cadets may have. Days such as Heroism Day where cadets go out into the community and volunteer should be scheduled more often rather than simply once a year. Incorporate service learning projects as part of the curriculum.
12
Physical Pillar Assessment P Strengths – Morning PT is raising the physical readiness state – Increased number of spirit runs help people exercise – Built unit cohesion via PT sessions Weaknesses – Physical training was not always conducted as stated by higher due to the large number of companies training in the same area – Lack of creativity, due to micromanagement by higher everyone is forces to do the same exercises and morale decreases – PT schedule is very inconsistent and the flow of information regarding physical training is little to none

Physical pillar strategy Include more company led spirit PT days. Encourage cadets to participate in intramural sports more frequently by placing incentives for winners. Give senior cadets that have above a 300 on the PT test the ability to miss PT to train on their own. (ex. Being able to go to the gym rather than Corp PT) Place more incentive for maxing the PT test. Have PT tests more often to ensure that the level of physical readiness is high rather than simply passing once a semester. Raise physical standards on the PT test.
