2. Emotional Development The development of feelings (such as joy, sorrow, fear, hate) Emotional development depends on other factors other than child’s individuality. The care it receives, atmosphere of home are very important factors

3. Social Development The development related to friendly companionship, living with others in a community. Social development is closely related to physical and emotional development. A newborn will respond to people that encourages them to take care of their physical and emotional care. As a baby develops physically he/she becomes more capable of interaction with others. Follows a predictable pattern. Each child is different and will be at these levels at different times. (attachment, failure to thrive, stranger anxiety, personality consistency)

4. Physical Development The development of the body and its ability to function. Large motor: abilities that depend on the use and control of large muscles of the back, legs, shoulders and arms Small motor (fine): abilities that depend on the use and control of the finer muscles of the wrists, fingers, and ankles.
