Updates Linac – SBK: Work at CPI continues – discussing testing items/location but testing at CPI looks promising. – LN: Testing of single notch with alternate laser went well – had results before review! – Modulator: Have made progress in overcurrent protection/testing, 27 cell buildup continues – Utilities: AC connection in gallery completed – task closed Booster – Beam Studies: Cogging: Studies continue – working on timing in Kiyomi’s system with original sync hardware Booster optics software – Performed a couple of Beta corrections last week – eff. 88% Booster Longitudinal dampers - Booster BPMs – Peter taking data and working on hardware – planning on removing charge clearing box – RF: Refurbished cavity work: Another cavity installed two weeks ago – 1 on test stand, 1 on mill – The cavity that was pulled has not been shipped? New Tuners – TD expects to have a tuner in three weeks…slow progress but steady labor Bias Supplies: Supply # 4 done – Supply # 5 in progress (longer than planned rebuild times) Anode Supplies: Update slide on next page… Perpendicular cavity: Regular meetings, progressing on cooling design and ferrite testing Stations 20, 21 & 22: starting to ramp up activity, work on 20 th upstairs work beginning – Contract for Ray Tomlin to assist is moving along but slow… Rework of cavities 21 & 22: Need to put together plan – looking at options/floor space New cavities: Dialogue with management still ongoing – working on design details – Shielding: Meeting Thursday – TLMs functioning in tunnel and gathering info – working on issues – Transformer: Waiting for shutdown – Absorber/Kicker: Completed for now – working on optimizing positions/reduction of losses

4. We are finishing up controls drawings. We have the PLC panel almost done (I am attempting to make it easier to troubleshoot (< 4 hrs worth of work)), and a relay chassis is being built. So controls are getting close, but there is still some work left to do. We are in the process of testing the voltage sharing of the diode legs. We are making mounts for the bus bar and resistors for the cap bank and I should be able to have close to complete pictures on Thursday. The power resistors are tested and passed, but we need to try and reverse the flow of water to prevent a trapped air situation. We are about to start work on the second enclosure while we are waiting from some of the preliminary testing to be completed.

Recent PIP Budget/News FY15 Budget: New PIP budget profile provided by Sergei (DOE/Lab approved) PIP working on RLS and making Task allocations corrections Update of RLS – Some Booster items remain – Mostly cavities related Meetings to discuss transition PIP to PIP-II continue…. DOE REVIEW of PIP – Completed last week the review seem to go well.. Waiting for official document in about 1 -2 weeks Sergei and the rest of the lab seem to be focusing on 15 Hz before the shutdown – should be good to go but….. – Top priority is Booster 15 Hz operation – Ann and company are going through dept. budgets PIP PMG – probably March 5th
