2 Why do I have them?

3 When I’m teaching a lesson Clear your desk of everything but paper and pencil (unless otherwise instructed) Eyes on ME! Or on your paper. NO talking while I’m talking. RAISE your hand and wait to be called on to ask or answer a question. DON’T shout out answers!

4 When you are working independently Have all necessary books, paper, pencils, and any other directed material on your desk. Begin working on your assignment as soon as you receive directions. NO talking. Raise your hand to ask questions.

5 When you are working in a group Be polite Help one another Share Listen to others Praise others Take turns Talk out problems Speak at table level

6 What if expectations are not met? 1 st offense: Warning 2 nd offense- Written response in behavior journal (signed by you and parent) 3 rd offense- Parent will be called 4 th offense- Detention

7 Homework Usually assigned Monday –Thursday You are responsible for writing your homework down in your planner IT WILL COUNT TOWARD YOUR GRADE AT THE END OF THE QUARTER!

8 If Homework is not completed 1 st offense- You get one excused homework per quarter 2 nd offense- Written response in behavior journal (signed by you and parent) 3 rd offense- Parent will be called 4 th offense- Detention
