4 Course Outline Laptop Geometry has the same California Content Standards as a regular Geometry course.Laptop Geometry has the same California Content Standards as a regular Geometry course. Students who do well in Algebra may not do well in Geometry (or vice versa).Students who do well in Algebra may not do well in Geometry (or vice versa). 5 What about the LAPTOP part? The goal of the laptop portion of the program is to:The goal of the laptop portion of the program is to: –Use computer software to complement the curriculum – particularly Geometer’s Sketchpad (let’s take a look). –Allow for research and discovery learning. –Allow for projects/activities that demonstrate conceptual understanding of the curriculum in creative ways (alternate assessment). –Please be patient, this is the first year of this program and the curriculum is in progress. We are ALL learning things as we go.
