This is important for business owners. When a fan Likes your Facebook business page, friends of that person also see the Like on their friend’s page – and this might prompt them to check out your page and maybe click Like themselves. 900,000 That’s the number of new Facebook users each day. Now some are current Facebook users creating a second, third or fourth Facebook page and some are business pages. An increasing number are videos posted by organizations that understand the power of connecting with customers and members via video resources. 143,000,000 That’s the number of Tweets sent out each day. Plenty of these are friends or celebs letting the world know how they feel or where they are. However, an increasing number are business owners using Twitter to drive traffic to their websites, their Facebook pages or simply using Twitter to add value by sharing interesting stuff with their followers. 500,000 This is the number of iPhone apps available today. Most of these have been developed by businesses who saw an opportunity to inform, entertain or empower people - away from their computers. 3. 142,000 In the past 24 hours, 142,000 new users will join LinkedIn. Individuals have long understood the value of LinkedIn in making business connections and raising their profiles. Organizations are realizing the value that many of their members are well aware of: that LinkedIn can be a great networking tool, augmenting the traditional face-to-face networking method. 942,000 This is the number of people who sign up for Google+ every day. It’s early days for Google+, and many haven’t quite worked out how to use it, but there’s no reason to doubt that it will become as valuable a networking and information-sharing vehicle as Facebook. 293,000,000,000 This massive number is the number of emails sent each day. Many get trashed. Many go unopened. Research by the Direct Marketing Association shows that email marketing generated a return of $42 for every dollar spent on it in 2010.
