Harriet Hinkley 4549 Wildern

2 Introduction I will be talking about the change in mobile phones.I have chosen mobile phones because they have developed in many ways since they were first made. It is also becoming more common that most people have a mobile phone and use it every day .

3 Development of Mobile Phones
The changes that have taken place have been quite important such as: Aerials have been built in - this helps by making it more portable as you can put it in pockets without having an aerial sticking out. Touch screen has been invented- was invented in the 2000’s – makes the phone easier to use. The size of the phone- through out the years phones have become thinner and larger, the screen has also began to take up more space which impacts people as it makes it easier to use You can download apps – when the first phone was invented you could only call. Now we have social media. Texting was also invented - and is now on every standard phone. Which is good as it is much quicker. Camera- has improved greatly to the point where people are not as bothered to take a camera they just use their phone.

4 Uses Of Mobile Phones Social networking – so people can contact
people across the world Music -so people can listen to music anywhere Internet –for people to research any infor- mation they want to Apps – people can download a range of apps from games to lifestyle Calling and texting –is a key thing for a standard mobile to contact people.

5 Impacts of mobile phones
An impact of using social media is you could contact family members who you do not see often and people all across the world. However people ca use it to send hate to people which has caused for horrible things to happen to people. Music plays an important part in people live and has made a great impact by having it on your mobile as you can decide what you listen to by a click. The web is becoming more commonly used year by year as it is a place nearly everyone goes for answers. You can even shop online and get it ordered to your house. So it is handy to be able to use it anywhere Being able to download apps straight from an app store has an impact on people because there is such a variety of apps you can have like game or things to do with school even shops have their own apps. Texting is one of the easiest and cheapest ways to get hold of people as it takes a shorter time than calling someone, this impacts people with a busy life.

6 If Mobile phones didn’t exist?
Reasons why it would be good to not have mobile phones: It would be less distracting for students in school A lot more people wont feel as insecure Peoples attention spans will increase , The Average Attention Span Is Now 8 Seconds – 1 Second Less Than A Goldfish Maybe people will be more sociable

7 Legal issue One big problem is a lot of people speak on their phone while driving which is the cause of most accidents in the UK. If you answer your phone or a text it is distracting you from the road ahead. Don’t you think? However you could avoid this by connecting your phone to a speaker in the car.

8 An ethical issue How old should we be able to have a mobile phone? I think it depends on the child and If they live a life where they need to be in contact with people for certain reasons. However I feel children should not have a phone until they are at least going into secondary school as it can get addictive to use and have an impact on younger children.

9 Social issue The social networking apps that people have on their phones could have a drastic impact on their lives as there are people that could be lying about their identity. A big problem about these sites is cyberbullying is very common and can greatly affect a younger audience or child percent of teenagers report that they have experienced repeated bullying via their cell phone or on the internet.A lot of people also mistake people for someone their not and can do this by changing the date of their birthday.

10 Conclusion As you can see mobile phones have made a dramatic development since they were first made. However I feel they’re should be boundaries to who and how people use them.
