6. Schedule 8:25 – 8:30 = Homeroom 8:30 – 9:35 = Period 1 9:39 – 10:49 = Period 2 10:53 – 12:03 = Period 3 12:07 – 12:57 = Lunch/PA (4) 1:01 – 2:11 = Period 5 2:15 – 3:25 = Period 6 * 4 minutes between classes for lockers, etc.

7. Lockers Go to your locker before homeroom and between classes. Get what you need then. Lock your locker when you leave it even for a few seconds. Do not ask to go during class as it is not permitted. Lock up ALL electronic devices in your locker, no exceptions. Electrical devices will be confiscated otherwise. Do not give your lock combination number out to anyone except your teacher. Do not “preset” locks for “friends”.

8. Rest Room Go to the restroom between classes. Emergencies only during class. Sign the clip board when you leave and return. Chronic trips to the restroom = a note needed from parents with the medical condition.

9. 8 th Grade Rules When a teacher is talking, students are not. This includes all forms of noise making. Raise your hand and be acknowledged to speak. No inappropriate language. Do not get out of seat without permission during class. Sharpen pencils before class. Throw away trash after class. No grooming during class: make up, hair, etc. Respect the space of others. No touching others with hands, feet or objects at any time. When you are told to do or not do something by a teacher follow directions immediately. No food, gum, candy or soda allowed in class. Only sealed bottle water opened in front of teacher. At no time should head be down on the desk. If you need to see the nurse ask. Your agenda should be with you each day as it is your hallway pass.

14. Emergency Procedures 1. Assault – Others move away without talking. Follow teachers directions. 2. Blood Pathogens – notify teacher. Do not touch. Follow teacher directions. 3. Tornado – Follow teacher directions. Move to hallway and assume “Duck & cover” position facing wall. No talking. 4. Fire – Follow teacher directions. Move SILENTLY out side door towards parking lot in line. Stay with class and wait for attendance to be taken. No talking. 5. Code Red – No talking. Move against wall. Teacher will designate one student to close window blinds and one student to cover door windows. Remain silent until the “All Clear” is given by principal.
