Study given materials regarding stacking and storing and the operation of lift trucks. A discussion / demonstration of the basic functions and operations of a lift truck is facilitated at the machine. Notional Hours 8 1.Learners are supplied with copies of the company policies and procedures regarding stacking and storing as well as the operation of lift trucks 2.List the various lift trucks and what loads each can carry 3.A discussion / demonstration of the basic functions and operations of lift trucks is facilitated 4.Learners individually undertake an inspection of the operation of lift trucks and identify all potential hazards 5.Recommendations are made to reduce / avoid these hazards and the impact of possible hazards. 6.A short report on the recommendations is drafted. Collect Information Use Multi media Self Study Plant investigations Media search Expert demonstration Attend lectures Analyse, plan and make decisions Group Discussions Educational games Case studies List / Tabulate Develop recommendations Execute, test and evaluate Job assignment Make presentation Complete documents Draft a report Complete a test/questionnaire
