Firing On Fort Sumter The firing on fort Sumter happened in the year of 1861. This event happened in Charleston, South Carolina. The north, which is also known as the union won.

Battle of Antietam The battle happened in the year of 1862. This battle took place near Sharpsburg, Maryland. The north, which is also know was the union, won this battle.

Battle of Gettysburg The battle took place in the year of 1863. This battle took place in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania. The union which is also known as the north, won the battle.

Siege of Vicksburg This event took place in the same year of the battle of Gettysburg, 1863. The event took place at Mississippi river-port of Vicksburg. The union won this battle.

Bloodiest Single-Day Battle There is only one battle that is considered the bloodiest Single-Day Battle and it is known as the Battle of Antietam.

Turning Points There are two battles in the civil war that are commonly known as the turning points in the civil war. These two battles are gettysburg and vicksburg.

Assassination While lincoln was sitting in on a play, John Wilkes Booth, a well known confederate spy shot him in the back of the head. He stayed in a comatose state for a little bit and the following day he died.

Emancipation Proclamation This was an executive order that was issued by the president of the united states, Abraham Lincoln. It proclaimed the freedom of slaves and immediately freed 50,000 slaves.
