4 Section 5(1) …All documents and reports shall be submitted through the electronic reporting system, or by hard copy if the electronic reporting system is unavailable… AMENDMENTS RELATED TO ELECTRONIC SUBMISSIONS

5 The chair, resource teacher, & the teacher educator shall: Make three (3) official observation visits to the teacher interns classroom with each observation visit lasting one (1) hour or (1) class period; or Two (2) observations lasting one (1) hour in duration or one (1) class period followed by an observation of the teacher intern's one (1) hour videotaped classroom lesson… AMENDMENTS RELATED TO OBSERVATIONS Section 5 (1):(2):(4)

6 Section 5(4) The Teacher Educator shall: (b) Conduct a lesson plan review prior to each of the three (3) observations and a postobservation conference after each observation; (c) Report progress observed and concerns to the committee at the scheduled committee meetings…

7 Section 6(3) (3) If the teacher intern is unable to complete the internship within one school year…an interim report shall be submitted to the EPSB within ten (10) days of the date the internship ceases. Under extraordinary circumstances and with the approval of the EPSB staff, the teacher intern may continue the internship… notwithstanding the provisions of Section 4 of this administrative regulation. 8 Section 8(4) Incentives for two (2) year pilot project participants shall include… (f) A stipend of $1,400 paid to the mentor by the Education Professional Standards Board upon completion of the first year mentoring duties… AMENDMENTS RELATED TO THE PILOT PROJECT

9 (g) The $1,400 stipend shall apply retroactively to those mentors who served under the previous version of this administrative regulation which provided a $1,000 stipend. In such cases, the EPSB shall forward the supplemental $400 to the mentor after the effective date of this administrative regulation. (h) A stipend of $1,800 paid to the mentor who has at the time of appointment as a mentor, attained certification by National Board for Professional Teaching Standards. Section 8(4)

10 Section 8(6) During the second year of the internship pilot project, the teacher intern and the beginning teacher committee shall utilize the Kentucky Internship Pilot Project Portfolio and KTIP Portfolio Scoring Rubric.

12 Section 12 (will become Section 11) An intern serving the internship in Interdisciplinary Early Childhood Education (IECE) must successfully demonstrate the new teacher standards as adapted to the IECE standards and shall utilize the IECE Observation Instrument incorporated by reference.
