12 What’s going on this week:  Wed: discussion of everyone’s favorite…O,P,V,L (review for some, new for others).  Thurs: summer assignment is due. You should be reading The Guns of August by Barbara Tuchman up to the Outbreak section, chapters 1-5.  Thurs: 3 page summary/personal reaction is due. Include: what you have learned, specific historical pieces of information, what surprised you or what you found interesting and questions you still have.  Please bring your book to class that day as well.  Fri: participation/practice essay on The Guns of August. Strengths: Inquirers, Knowledgable, and Open-minded. Need to work on creating and maintaining a balanced life.  8. Choose 12 IB: was assigned to teach, but LOVE this course!!  9. Summer assign: I have read the book 3 times and am currently reading with you up to the Outbreak section.  10. Anything else: I expect you to work hard, I expect to work hard, I expect everyone to learn a lot, to have fun and laugh at my jokes and not be afraid to ask questions.
