4 3 Initial Assessment (IA) Initial Assessment (IA) to determine new student’s level of English proficiency □ Administered to all new students in Grades K-8 with a language other than English as determined by their Primary Language Survey □ Must be administered within 30 calendar days of enrollment □ Administered throughout the year
