When there aren’t good roads, it is hard to communicate with people who live far away so, feudalism helps with this problem as well. What military weapon is a knight compared to? Knights are compared to a sword because they both have the same qualities. A sword is used to protect like a knight. It also is made out of metal and steel which shows strength. A sword shines like a knight because of their high social class.

What invention improved a knights ability to stay on his horse? In the middle ages, the development of mounted knights was invented. The reason was because it was hard to fight and slay on the horse at the same time. So horses and riders (knights) were trained especially for staying on the horse. This invention was called Cavalry.
