2 Expectations for Students All students will Come to class on time with materials, homework, and current work. Follow classroom routines and rules. Complete class work and homework on time. Respect classmates and teacher. Work to the best of his/her abilities.

4 We Believe:  reading is the most powerful tool for learning  active readers are better readers  you learn to read by reading  you learn to write by writing  you learn to communicate & use language effectively by talking about your reading and writing with others

5 What is a Lexile Measure? A Lexile measure is a valuable piece of information about either an individual's reading ability or the difficulty of a text, a book or magazine article. The Lexile measure is shown as a number with an "L" after it. For example, 880L is 880 Lexile.
