E-Bills All MSU billing statements will be sent electronically. An email will be sent to the students Murray State (username@murraystate.edu) email account notifying a student when their E-Bill is available for viewing. The E-Bill is a real time billing system that is fully integrated with the university student information systems. Students can view their most recent statements; students will see all activity posted to their account since the last statement under “current charges”. They see and pay an up-to-date account balance calculated at the instant they view them. Students can authorize third parties, such as parents, guardians, or employers, to view bills and make payments on their behalf.

Refunds If loans, scholarships, or other payments cause the student’s account to carry a credit balance – a refund will be issued to the student. Refunds can either be mailed in the form of a paper check or issued as direct deposit (students sign up on the 2 nd floor of Sparks Hall). Refunds are always mailed to the REFUND address first and then the permanent address that the student has on file with MSU. Students who are first time borrowers have a 30 day waiting period before funds apply – which will delay receipt of their initial refund.
17
Payment Plans Tuition payment plans help families budget the costs of tuition and fees by spreading the cost over a number of payments during the term. There is an application fee that is due at the time of enrollment. Fast & Easy: Payment plans can be signed up for online & payments can be automatically deducted from checking/savings accounts. Secure: You can pay online using a credit card, debit card or electronic check on our secure website.
18
Payment Plans Convenient: If your plan changes – we’ll email you. If the student drops or adds classes at any time during the enrolled period – the changes will cause the plan to re-calculate, adjusting payments and an email to be sent to the student & authorized users, notifying them of the change. Affordable: There is a $30 set up fee each time that the student chooses to enroll in the payment plan. However, there are no other fees, unless the payment is made 5 days after the due date. At that point, a 0.65% late fee will be added to the account.

Authorized Users Students can authorize third parties (parents, guardians, employers or others) to view bills and make payments on their behalf. Students must enter the authorized user’s email address and select the level of account access (authorized users will not be able to view emails, grades, or allow them to accept/decline financial aid). Authorized users will then receive an email that will provide them with a link and temporary password to access the billing website.
