CURRENT STATE Where are we now?

Turned the Corner We have weathered the recession and internal restructuring, and are proud that: –We’re in a positive cash position –We’ve added 200 new members in past year –OD Education Association (ODEA) is established and growing –We’ve developed and are implementing a new three- year strategic plan –The strategic plan, and this conference, were based on feedback and research from members and stakeholders

Laying Strong Governance Foundation Capitalized on our new partnership with SmithBucklin to build a stronger infrastructure Refining roles and responsibilities to leverage both SmithBucklin and board talent Establishing policies and processes to ensure consistency and equity in decision-making from year-to-year; leveraging SB’s association best practices Creating succession planning in board service –Growing to a 12-member board –Terms reduced to 3 years to support intense “working board” expectations –Four (4) board members rotate off/on each year –Evolving representation to include our various member segments –Increasing emphasis on volunteer engagement on committees to support succession planning onto board

Going Forward We are at our strongest as a Network when our members are informed, engaged and learning Strategic relationships to support member development and revenue generation Cultural transformation -- bringing diversity, inclusion, innovation, and business focus to everything we do Revitalized Seasonings and Practicing in 2013 First ever Network book: Handbook for Strategic HR in November, 2012 New communication vehicles in 2013 Larger, younger, and stronger board New board committees and project teams Revitalizing connections with regional Networks Plans for an OD Certificate for newcomers to the field

Vision for the Network of Networks The Organization Development Network, grounded in humanistic values, convenes and equips practitioners, leaders, and academicians to resolve critical corporate, governmental, and social justice priorities with leading edge practice and theory from multiple disciplines.

Mission for the Network of Networks Lead advances in the practice and theory of Organization Development that result in healthy, effective organizations and a healthy planet.
