Timetables Summer exam timetables will be sent out by post after the February half term. You must check this carefully and inform the exams officer immediately of there are any errors This is how your name will appear on your certificates - please check that it is correct. School Uniform and Equipment
Whilst taking exams at school you are expected to wear full school uniform at all times Black tailored trousers – NO leggings, sports/tracksuit or jeans/jeans type pants White polo shirt or white open neck tailored shirt Plain black sweatshirt or cardigan – no hoodies or sweatshirts with logos Sturdy plain black shoes (or black trainers if no logos) All equipment for exams and water (labels will be removed) will be provided by the school. CONSEQUENCES: IF YOU ARE LATE THE EXAM BOARD MAY NOT ACCEPT YOUR PAPER
Be on time Morning exams will start at 9.00am and afternoons at 1.30pm. ARRIVE IN PLENTY OF TIME FOR YOUR EXAMS… We recommend that you are at school / ready 15 minutes earlier to the start of your exams– 8.45am and 1.15pm. Illness / Non-attendance
If you are genuinely very ill and unable to attend an exam, it is vital that you telephone the school straightaway. You really don’t want to miss any exam for any reason. If you miss an exam through illness, you must have a doctor’s letter detailing your symptoms and illness, signed and dated from the doctor. Please be aware that if you do not attend an exam without a valid reason or disqualification Parent/Carer’s will be liable for exam fees. Before you enter the exam room
All personal items will be stored in your locker on entry, double check your pockets for any pieces of paper / revision materials / mobile phones / watches or any other electronic devices IMPORTANT! – Any of these items found on you during an exam could result in you being disqualified from that exam and any future exams you are due to take in school Under exam conditions the use of unauthorised materials, copying or attempting to copy, escaping from supervision or cheating is not permitted.

In the exam room SILENCE! EXAM conditions
Exam board rule state that you must be SILENT once you enter the exam hall up until you leave Listen to all instructions given by staff / invigilators IMPORTANT! – If there is any communication between learner’s it will be assumed you are cheating and the incident will be logged and reported to the exam board. If you have any questions, you should raise your hand once seated and an invigilator will come to you

Before you start the exam / End of exam
Once seated in the exam room you will be reminded of the rules and regulations you need to follow Check You paper is correct The instructions in the front of the paper The time Make sure you complete the front of the exam paper including your name, centre number and candidate number Some board require you to sign the front of your answer booklet The name of the exam you are sitting will be noted on the board at the front of the room The start and finish time will also be noted on the board Centre Number 33722 At the end of the exam stop writing immediately and remain silent until ALL exam papers have been collected and you have exited the exam room

Evacuation Procedure If the fire alarm sounds, wait for further instruction from the invigilator / staff member We will only evacuate if its not a false alarm Stop writing leave all papers, scripts and belongings in the room and leave the room calmly in silence via the nearest fire exit Stay with the invigilator and do not leave their supervision Do not communicate with fellow candidates The exam may be re-started if it is safe to do so You will be entitled to the full time duration of the exam
