12. Birthdays
I will acknowledge each child’s birthday throughout the year. Cupcakes, goodie bags, invitations, and other celebratory items are not to be brought to school. I will not be allowed to distribute them.

14. Absences and Tardies
Method of Verification of Absence: The following methods may be used to verify student absences: Written note, fax or from parent(s).Conversation, in person or by telephone, between the verifying employee and the student's parent(s).
Reason for Absence Verification must be completed within five (5) school days of the student’s return to school. On the sixth day, the absence becomes unverified and cannot be changed after this date.
Tardies: If you are late to school (not in the classroom when the bell rings at 8:30 a.m.) your child must go to the office first to get a tardy slip.
