Communication / Conferences COMMUNICATIONS In the front of your child’s binder, there will be a sheet that you must sign indicating you have read all weekly communications, seen the conduct grade, and received any graded papers. This sheet will go home once a week. It needs to be signed and returned the next day. Your child has a planner to write down all assignments and important information. Please check your child’s planner to be sure they are staying on top of their responsibilities. The T.I.G.E.R. binder needs to go to and from school each day. There is a communication section for you to look at each night. If you need to send anything in to school, please place it in the communication divider. CONFERENCES Conferences are held with all three of the fourth grade teachers. We are available on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Fridays from 9:30-10:15; Wednesdays and Thursdays from 10:20-11:50; and after school upon request. Contact your child’s homeroom teacher if you need to set up a conference. Please understand that we have other faculty obligations during those times, and we will schedule you in our earliest available time slot.

Tardies / Transportation / Absences TARDIES Our school day begins promptly at 7:45 a.m. PRIOR to this time students are to get breakfast, unpack at their lockers, sharpen pencils, make restroom stops, and pay lunch money if necessary. When the bell rings, the students are expected to be in their seats ready for the instructional day. Students who are tardy have to get a tardy slip from the office before coming to class. Students still at lockers when the bell rings will be counted tardy. TRANSPORTATION Please make sure your child’s transportation form is up-to-date. As changes arise, a new form should be filled out and sent to the office as soon as possible. If your child’s way home for the day is different than usual, you MUST SEND A NOTE regarding the change. Without a written note, we are required to send children home the way it is listed on their transportation form. ABSENCES If you are absent, please send a note on the day you return stating why you were absent. If you are only absent for 1-3 days, no make- up work will be sent home. If you are absent for 4 or more days, we will be happy to gather make-up work for your child. Just send an email to your child’s homeroom teacher requesting make-up work. Please give us 24 hours to get the work together.

Conduct Writing Assignments Sentence: I will follow all Crestline expectations while I am at school or while attending school activities. Paragraph: It is my responsibility to come to school and do my best in each class, everyday. It is a reasonable expectation for me to be totally silent during instruction so that I, and others around me, can learn. I understand that it is impossible for others around me to learn if I am disrupting or distracting the class. When the teacher has to redirect or correct me, that is time taken away from valuable teaching and learning for everyone in the classroom. I am the only one that can control my behavior. I understand that I am not perfect, but it is important that I strive to not misbehave. I need to “do the right thing” even when no one is looking. In life there is a consequence for every action. Having to write this paragraph is one of those consequences.
