1 Slant Rhyme-Rhyme that involves the final consonants of two words but is imperfect (ex: I was ill and stayed in my shell.) Paradox: a statement that contradicts itself (Wise fool, I am nobody) Alliteration: The repetition of one initial sound, usually a consonant, in more than one word. (gray, geese, and grazing weak and weary) End rhyme: occur at the ends of lines of poetry. It is the most common type of rhyme. (Twinkle, twinkle, little star, How I wonder what you are)
