2. Language Arts – Warm Up 11/28/17
“Identify the Topic Sentence”
First, turn in “The Flood” worksheet from yesterday, if you did not already do so.
Then, working independently, decide which fits best as the topic sentence for each paragraph.
Finally, submit today’s work to the homework bin.
If you finish early, you may read independently.
Be sure to finish reading your book by tomorrow! Your third Biblionasium and fourth independent reading notes half sheet are due this Friday!

3. Language Arts – Work Session 11/28/17
Essential Questions: How can talking and working with others help one analyze a novel?
How do internal and external forces help people grow?
Standard: ELASE6RL3 – Describe how a particular story’s or drama’s plot unfolds in a series of episodes as well as how the characters respond or change as the plot moves toward a resolution.
Learning Targets: Define the concept of change through the reading of a narrative. Apply understanding of narrative elements to reading and writing.

“Up” Character Analysis
First, complete the chart on SpringBoard page 97.
Then, complete number 1 only on page 98 as you view “Up”.
I expect a completed chart by the end of class today.

Independent Reading
You should be on your FOURTH book of this school year, at least.
Your next Biblionasium book review will be due Friday, December 1, 2017.
