2 Language Arts – Warm Up 11/27/17
“The Flood” Topic Sentences Practice First, read each paragraph. Then, working in a group, decide which green slip fits best as the topic sentence for each paragraph. Finally, write each answer in the blanks and submit your work to the homework bin. If you finish early, you may read independently. Be sure to finish reading your book by Wednesday! Your third Biblionasium and fourth independent reading notes half sheet are due this Friday!

3 Language Arts – Work Session 11/27/17
Essential Questions: How can talking and working with others help one analyze a novel? How do internal and external forces help people grow? Standard: ELASE6RL3 – Describe how a particular story’s or drama’s plot unfolds in a series of episodes as well as how the characters respond or change as the plot moves toward a resolution. Learning Targets: Define the concept of change through the reading of a narrative. Apply understanding of narrative elements to reading and writing.

“Up” Character Analysis First, open your SpringBoard textbook to page 97. You will complete this chart as you view “Up”. I expect a completed chart by the end of class tomorrow.

5 Language Arts – Closing Session 11/27/17
Independent Reading You should be on your FOURTH book of this school year, at least. Your next Biblionasium book review will be due Friday, December 1, 2017. Be sure that you have completed your book before Friday, December 1, 2017! Homework: Read! Your third Biblionasium and fourth independent reading notes ½ sheet are due Friday!
