Earning Stickers! We are in a competition with the rest of the grade 4 classrooms to earn stickers! Each time we fill up a board, we receive a classroom reward! How can we receive these stickers? Receiving compliments for good behavior Receiving 3’s in Specials. (daily double…) Having a good report in the cafeteria Switching with Mrs. Peterson Perfect Attendance !

How to ask to leave the room?
You will have an assigned number all year long. This number can be found on your agenda and on the TES folder. Steps: Hold up hallway pass and stand by the door. You will get a thumbs up or okay signal Move your number to the location you are going to and sign out with todays date Take the pass with you Come back and sign in with the time

Reminders about bathroom use:
When to go: In-between subjects, before or after lunch, during the morning routine, during independent time When not to go: When going over an answer, when in small group, when in the middle of a lesson or partner activity

Tickets You will want to earn as many tickets as you can. Why? Tickets are used like cash in the classroom. Once a week you can “cash” in tickets to buy coupons. Possible purchases include: No homework passes, computer passes, listen to music while you work, choose anywhere in the room to sit for the day, use a pen for the day, choose an item from the prize box and many more!!! How? Doing your job in school and going beyond classroom expectations.

Important information about tickets
Tickets are to have your name written on them WITH PEN. These tickets are kept in a baggie in an envelope. Any ticket found without a name is subject to being thrown away. Tip of the Day: Write your initials on your ticket as soon as you get it. Put it away ASAP!!!

Consequences Any student not following rules is subjected to serious consequences such as: losing recess receiving a think time sheet not attending PBIS celebrations not participating in classroom rewards going to the support room getting a referral going to the office being suspended

Math About Me 3 x 3=9 Use the notebook paper as your rough draft. Sketch out each number. The middle box will be your name and a self portrait. For example, if you choose a number because that’s how many girls are in your family, draw those girls compared to how many total people live in your house. When you are pleased with your rough draft, you can raise your hand. I will check your work, and you can publish.

ROUTINES! Morning Routine: When you enter the classroom, you are now in our house. You come in focus, and ready to learn. Conversations may occur quietly at your table while eating breakfast.

Milling to Music Activity- You will walk around the room as the music plays. When the music stops, you will reach out to someone near you. They are your partner. FIRST, you will introduce yourself by saying your name. Then, you will discuss a question on the board. Questions:???

Center Expectations: The room is to look as it did when you arrived. All materials are to be treated with respect. All materials are returned when the time comes. Noise level is 0. With a partner 1-2.

Announcement Expectations: We will have a CD playing in the morning. When the song “We’re all in this together” plays, that is your cue to clean up and return to your seat. Noise level is 0. We all sit quietly until after announcements when we prepare for our morning math meeting.

End of The Day Routine You will: Record your homework in your agenda.
Ms. Borisevic will call students by waves. If you are not called, this is not invitation to talk! You can read a book, do a free write, or work on something not completed earlier in the day. You will show Ms. Borisevic your calendar and homework. Then, you go to your locker and grab your book bag. Return to the classroom, pack and stack. Sit on the floor and listen for bus wave to be called.
