1 extraordinary (adj.): outstanding, wonderful 2 Guinness World Records 3 at times (adv.): sometimes 4 recall (v): when you recall something, you remember it and tell others about it 5 retrieve (v): to get something back, to rescue it, to reclaim it 6 complex (adj.): something that is complex has many different parts, and is therefore often difficult to understand

1 neuron, also spelled neurone (n): a cell which part of the nervous system (p.s.: neuro- is used to form words that refer or relate to a nerve or the nervous system) 2 transform (v): to change from one shape or appearance to another 3 stimuli, stimulus (n), stimulate (v): a stimulus is something that encourages activity in people or things 4 temporary (adj.), temporarily (adv.): something that is temporary lasts for only a limited time

5 neurogenesis (n): neuro- is used to form words that refer or relate to a nerve or the nervous system; genesis- the genesis of something is its beginning, birth or creation (a formal use) 6 manufacture (n): manufactures are goods or products which have been made in a factory; (v): to manufacture something means to make it in a factory, usually in large quantities; manufacturer (n): a business or company which makes goods in large quantities to sell

7 Alzheimer’s Disease: Alzheimer’s Disease is a condition in which a person’s brain and body gradually stop working properly 8 trace (v): if you trace the origin or development of something, you find out or describe how it started or developed
