9 One-Minute Self Sell Your opening statement used in networking that quickly summarizes your history and career plan and asks a question. History: Start with a summary of the highlights of your career or school history Plans: State the target career you are seeking. Where would you like to work? Question: Ask a question to encourage two-way communication. In what other fields can I use these skills? Do you know of any job openings in field? Assignment: Write out your One-minute self sell and practice it!
