3 MODIFICATION 7th Grade/Unit 1
Summative Performance Task 3 MODIFICATION How do the results of the American Revolution impact us today? Description of Summative Performance Task: You will create a multimedia presentation using pictures and recordings discussing the results of the American Revolution based on your prior knowledge of the topic. Steps: Retrieve your assigned iPad. Open up the Shadow Puppet app. Using the app, you will create a presentation using pictures that you have saved or using the Library of Congress link in the Shadow Puppet app. You will gather pictures and create recordings with your group discussing what the picture is about while adding information from what you already have learned. The recordings should be informative and should be answering the topic question. Once the Shadow Puppet presentation is complete, you will save it to the Seesaw app under your class name and then your group name that has been assigned to you. All recordings have to be approved by me before they will show up on the app. Make sure they are completed and ready to be seen by me before you decide you are finished. To enter into Seesaw, you will need to scan the QR code posted on the board to enter your hours class. After you have uploaded your assignment, you may put your iPad back up where it goes and plugged in for the next class to use. Featured Source: Shadow Puppet Seesaw Featured Tech Tools: iPad with Internet access Teacher Name: Katherine Kershaw School: Maplewood Middle Address: Special Considerations: must have an alternate name for privacy, student nicknames have to be preloaded into the Seesaw app under the teacher account and each hour needs to have their own class on the app. If you would like to see the projects, you just have to me so I can add you as a co-teacher. I will also give the students a list of questions that they can use to be able to create the presentation i.e. what kind of government did the colonists fight for, etc. Assessment: Shadow Puppet presentations

4 REDEFINITION Grade 7/Unit 1
Summative Performance Task 4 REDEFINITION How do the results of the American Revolution impact us today? Description of Summative Performance Task: You will respond to other students’ work in another class as a way for everyone to get different perspectives of the topic. Steps: Retrieve your assigned iPad. Open the Seesaw app. Click on Student and then choose your assigned name. I will assign you a class that I want you to respond to. Once you have entered the class, you will watch different presentations and respond to them. Your responses need to be about the content of the presentation, not what the design is. This means you need to decide if you agree with what they are saying and why you agree or why you disagree. I will be grading you on your responses so make sure they are on topic and appropriate for the task at hand. The responses need to be at least 3 sentences long and adds to the conversation of the presentation. You should only be commenting on the group’s project that I have assigned you. Featured Source: Seesaw Featured Tech Tools: iPad with Internet access Teacher Name: Katherine Kershaw School: Maplewood Middle Address: Special Considerations: You have to have a Seesaw account with 1 class of all of your students. In that 1 class, I had each group name listed as a student as well so when the group uploaded an assignment, it will go under their group name. When you go in to comment on the other classes presentation, your students have to sign in under their alternate name so you will know who is commenting on which project. Assessment: Student responses
