I will be able to find and position positive and negative numbers on a horizontal and vertical number line, and identify the integer represented in a situation.
So I can learn how an integer is placed on a vertical number line in relation to zero (for example, zero can be identified as: elevation- sea level, money- no change in balance, or temperature- 0 degrees) to create a poster that models a real life scenario.
I will know I got it when I can verbally discuss and write an integer word problem, and plot this scenario on a vertical number line to complete my group’s poster with at least 80% accuracy.
