Beginning (B) - student struggles with understanding; fundamental knowledge and/or skills have not been acquired or developed adequately Developing (D) - student possesses minimum knowledge and skills and core understanding but needs help in performing authentic tasks Approaching Proficiency (AP) – student has developed knowledge, skills and understanding but needs a little guidance from teacher or peers and can apply these understandings in performing tasks
