MARGINLIZATION The process whereby something or someone is pushed to the edge of a group and accorded lesser importance. This is predominantly a social phenomenon by which a minority or sub group is excluded, and their needs or desires ignored.

Natural sex difference exist between the sexes based on biological and anatomic factors, most notably differing reproductive roles biological differing include chromosomes and hormonal differences. From birth males and females are raised differently and experience different environments throughout their lives. In society, gender has a huge role to play in many major milestones and characteristics in life; like personality.

IN THE WORKPLACE The gender pay gap in the average difference between man and women’ aggregate wages or salaries. The gap is due to a variety of factors, including differences education choices, differences in preferred jobs and industry, differences in choice of positions held by men and women, differences in type of jobs men typically go into as opposed to women in amount of work experiences difference in length of the work and breaks in employment.

PROPERTY INHERITANCE Many countries have laws that give less inheritance of ancestral property for women compared to men.

AT HOME Gender roles are highly influenced by biology, with male-females play styles correlation with sex hormones, sexual orientation, aggressive traits, and pain. Gender equality in relationships has been growing over the years but for majority of relationship power lies with the male.

IN TELEVISION AND FILM In hollywood film academy took a closer the women in hollywood and gathered statistics from the top 500 films from 2007 to 2012. There was a 5.1ratio of men to women working in films 30.8% of women having speaking characters, who may or may not have been a part of the 28.8% who are written to wear revealing clothing compared to the men who did, or the 26.2% of women who wore little to no clothing opposed to the 9.4% of men who did the same.
