1 WHAT'S ALL THIS ABOUT CREDITS?

2 What are Credits? For every class you take at the high school level, you receive credit. Credit is posted to your transcript. Each semester you earn credit based on your performance in your class. To earn credit, you must pass the class with a grade of a 70 or better. Each one semester class is awarded .50 credits. Each semester at the Ninth Grade Center and at the Main Campus, you have the opportunity to earn up to 4.0 credits which means each year, you can earn up to 8.0 credits.

3 What About Eighth Grade Year?
You can earn credit your 8th grade year in the following classes: Athletics/Physical Education Art, Choir, Theatre, Band, Dance Spanish 1 Algebra 1 Technology Class You can earn up to 4.50 credits before you enter the Ninth Grade Campus. To earn credit, you must pass your class with a grade of a 70 or better AND Be in Attendance at least 90% of the time. Failure to achieve this attendance rate will result in the forfeiture of credit for the class.

4 Foundation Plan for Graduation 22 Credits
4 credits in English including English 1, 2, 3 and 4 3 credits in Mathematics including Algebra 1, Geometry, and an advanced math course 3 credits in Science including Biology, a lab science (Integrated Physics and Chemistry, Chemistry, or Physics), and an advanced science course 3 credits in Social Studies including World Geography or World History, U.S. History, U.S. Government and Economics 2 credits in Foreign Language choosing between Spanish, French, American Sign Language or Computer Science 1 credit of Physical Education 1 Fine Arts credit 5 Elective credits
