6 BUSINESS & INDUSTRY  CTE COHERENT SEQUENCE (must include all):  Four or more CTE credits  That consist of at least two from the same cluster  Including at least one Advanced Level CTE course which includes any course that is the third or higher course in a sequence  The final course in the sequence must be obtained from one of the CTE career clusters below: Agriculture, Food & Natural Resources Architecture & Construction Arts, A/V Technology & Communication Business Management & Administration Finance Hospitality & Tourism Information Technology Manufacturing Marketing Transportation, Distribution & Logistics CAREER EXAMPLES Accountant Agribusiness Computer Technician Architect Auto Mechanic Chef Photographer Website Designer Welder Veterinary Science Public Relations Metal Manufacturing ENDORSEMENT

7 BUSINESS & INDUSTRY  ACADEMIC COHERENT SEQUENCE  Four English elective credits to include three levels in one of the following areas:  Advanced Journalism Newspaper; or  Advanced Journalism Yearbook; or  Public Speaking CAREER EXAMPLES Editor Journalist Newscaster Copywriter Script Writer Professional Speaker ENDORSEMENT

8 PUBLIC SERVICE CAREER EXAMPLES Police Officer Teacher Cosmetologist Fire Fighter Lawyer Military Homeland Security Therapist Registered Nurse Physician  ACADEMIC COHERENT SEQUENCE  Four courses in ROTC  CTE COHERENT SEQUENCE (must include all):  Four or more CTE credits  That consist of at least two from the same cluster  Including at least one Advanced Level CTE course which includes any course that is the third or higher course in a sequence  The final course in the sequence must be obtained from one of the CTE career clusters below: Education & Training Government & Public Administration Health Science Human Service Law, Public Safety, Corrections & Security ENDORSEMENT

9 STEM CAREER EXAMPLES Mechanical Engineer Civil Engineer Electrical Engineer Environmental Scientist Chemist Biomedical Engineer Statistician Computer Engineer Robotics  ACADEMIC COHERENT SEQUENCE  Math: Successfully completing Algebra I, Geometry, Algebra II and two additional mathematics courses for which Algebra II is a prerequisite  Science: Successfully completing Biology, Chemistry, Physics and two additional science courses  CTE COHERENT SEQUENCE (must complete all):  Four or more CTE credits  That consist of at least two courses in the same career cluster  Including at least one Advanced Level CTE course which includes any course that is the third or higher course in a sequence  Final course in the sequence must be obtained from the STEM cluster ENDORSEMENT

10 ARTS & HUMANITIES CAREER EXAMPLES Actor Composer Translator Choreographer Linguist Museum Curator Illustrator Anthropologist  ACADEMIC COHERENT SEQUENCE  Five credits: Social Studies  WORLD LANGUAGE COHERENT SEQUENCE  Four levels – Same Language in a W.L.  Four levels – Two courses of two different W.L.  Four levels – American Sign Language  FINE ARTS COHERENT SEQUENCE  Coherent sequence of four credits by selecting courses from one or two of the following categories: □ Art □ Music □ Dance □ Theatre ENDORSEMENT

11 MULTIDISCIPLINARY  Four advanced courses that prepare a student to successfully enter the workforce or postsecondary education from within one endorsement area or among endorsement areas that are not in a coherent sequence.  Four credits in each of the four foundation subject areas to include English 4 & Chemistry and/or Physics  Four credits AP or IB or Dual Credit selected from English, Mathematics, Science, Social Studies, Economics, World Languages, or Fine Arts ENDORSEMENT

12 DISTINGUISHED LEVEL OF ACHIEVEMENT To be eligible for Top 10% Automatic Admissions, you must earn the Distinguished Level of Achievement. FOUNDATION ENDORSEMENTS DISTINGUISHED LEVEL OF ACHIEVEMENT PERFOMANCE ACKNOWLEDGEMENTS A student may earn a Distinguished Level of Achievement by successfully completing the curriculum requirements for the Foundation High School Program and the curriculum requirements for at least one endorsement, including four credits in science and four credits in mathematics to include Algebra II.

13 PERFORMANCE ACKNOWLEDGEMENTS Please see your counselor or the TEA website for details regarding specific requirements to obtain a Performance Acknowledgement.
