3 What is Communication? “Communication is Transferring and understanding meaning from sender to Receiver Communication: is the process of sharing information and ideas. In a simplistic form information is send from a sender or encoder to a receiver or decoder. Ayub Mohamud Hussein

5 Six communication parries
To be effective communicator, you have to make sure that your messages are conveyed and received without misunderstanding and confusion. The Massage should be clear, concise, accurate and well-planned. You must reduce the following barriers as much as possible. Ayub Mohamud Hussein

6 Sender To be an effective communicator first of all you have to learn to be a good listener . you can gain more knowledge by being a good listener. Then you must establish your credibility in the field. You must have good knowledge about the subject , the audience , as well as the context in which the message you delivered Ayub Mohamud Hussein

7 Message The nature of the message can be barrier in communication.
No matter, whether it is written oral or non verbal communication are effected by senders tone method of organization validity of the argument what is conveyed and what is left out and also individual style of communication. Ayub Mohamud Hussein

8 Channels Channel can also be barriers for effective communication.
Communication is conveyed through different channels: verbal including face-to-face meeting telephone and videoconferencing and written including letters s memos and reports. Ayub Mohamud Hussein

9 Receiver With respect to audience you have to keep in mind that each of these individuals enters into communication process with ideas and feelings that certainly will influence their understanding of your message and their response. Ayub Mohamud Hussein

10 feedback Feedback is verbal and nonverbal reactions to your communicated message. Ayub Mohamud Hussein

11 Context The surrounding environment or its broader culture can be a major determinant of communication success. Ayub Mohamud Hussein

16 Tips for enhancing communication skills
1. always make sure that you have planned and clearly defined your purpose of communication 2. always make sure that you have good eye contact when your are communicating 3. always make sure your messages are clear concise accurate and well-planned 4. always give your feedback by nodding or humming and smiling 5. always make sure the involvement of others within communication 6. treat different opinion with open mind and heart 7. be relax and choose the right time and place Ayub Mohamud Hussein
