20 Hints Provide Extra Guidance
Hints Provide Extra Guidance Homework assigned in ThomsonNOW has a number of helpful resources available that your instructor can choose to use. First, all exercises and problems come with hints written by accounting instructors who use this textbook in their courses. There can be anywhere from 2-10 hints available, depending on the length of the activity. Sometimes you’ll have to attempt the activity before the hints appear.

21 Handy Links to Chapter Material
Handy Links to Chapter Material Another tool in ThomsonNOW is the integration of an electronic version of the book with the homework. If you need to review a part of the textbook while working an exercise or problem, you’ll find a link to the related textbook objective above the activity number. Just click on the objective number, and the corresponding text appears in a new window.

You can tell which items have templates by looking for the Excel icon in your book, or by the paper clip icon in ThomsonNOW. Please remember two important things about the Excel templates. First, you’ll need to save your work in the Excel templates on your own computer. Also, always push and hold the shift key when you open them. This way, they will open in a new window on top of ThomsonNOW, allowing you to see both.
