7 The feedback says… I've ended up setting up some meetings and smiling at more people round the university - was a great way to meet others. “It gave me a real sense that I was valued by the university, and in turn that I can offer value back by sharing my knowledge and experience with other staff” “This is the first time in my memory that staff from all areas of the university had the opportunity to come together and learn from each other” “I left the event having learnt new things, met new people, and with a feeling of pride that I work in such a diverse, supportive and friendly university” “To succeed in achieving the priorities of our Vision & Strategy we will need ‘staff who are valued and supported to give their best’. The event and continuing activity is a key means by which City can achieve this” “The most positive and inclusive day of the year” “Making a significant contribution to staff development at City through its enhanced induction events and support for staff in specific areas of need” It was a really positive reinforcement of my own self-worth to know that my employer is interested and invested enough in my development to pour this much time, resource and energy into a day like this. Fantastic job!
