3 Introducing A.F. Blakemore & Son Ltd A family owned food & drink retailer, wholesaler and distributor Founded in 1917 Current Managing Director - Peter Blakemore Group turnover £1.2 billion 7,600 staff

4 The Blakemore Heritage Founded in 1917 by Arthur and Harriet Blakemore in Wolverhampton Bought first wholesale distribution warehouse in the 1930s Opened some of the first cash and carry depots in the UK in the 1960s Joined SPAR in 1975

11 Living our Values through Corporate Responsibility History of our Corporate Responsibility Programme CR Strategy reviewed and formalised across Group in 2009 Strategy built around themes of Blakemore Way Annual targets agreed and monitored by Senior Corporate Responsibility Committee Targets implemented via cross-functional working groups

13 Making a Significant Contribution to the Community Blakemore Foundation Represents 2% of pre-tax profits Aimed at supporting smaller local good causes 2012/13 number of donations = 1,999 (228 in 2006/07) Employee Volunteering Commitment of working hours to community Professional and practical support Team working and development opportunities 2012/13 volunteering hours = 4,287 (2,143 in 2008/09)
