Takes USA 16 years to officially recognize USSR
USSR wanted a second front in Europe ( ) to divert Germans from the siege of Stalingrad

USSR not declare war on Japan till last weeks of war.

Problems before or during World War II
- It takes United States 16 years to recognize USSR. ( )
