Sub-Project: Increased exposure to pests such as eldana, chilo and codling moth Commission research and improve understanding of climate change impacts on pests Promote knowledge generation, knowledge sharing, and stakeholder participation and raise awareness on the impacts of increased exposure to pests Generate and share scientific, social and indigenous knowledge that will mitigate the impacts of pests on farming practices Implement insect monitoring systems and initiatives that feed into the management systems for commercial farming practices Strengthen management plans to enable continuous monitoring and the ability to effectively respond to increased exposure Identify climate resilient land-uses that will reduce exposure to increased pests

Sub-Project: Increase Indoor Air Pollution Identify communities that are most vulnerable to increased exposure of indoor air pollutants and climate change Reduce the incidence of respiratory diseases and improve air quality through ensuring compliance with legislative standards Equip local health facilities to handle the health effects of increased exposure to indoor air pollutants due various sources such as domestic fuel burning for cooking and heating purposes Conduct workshops that equip communities on how to respond to the effects of indoor air pollution and climate change Establish adequate stockpiles of medications, medical supplies, assistive devices and other resources that may be required to deal with reported cases of diseases.
