13 [ Pastor / CONGREGATION ]
THE CALL TO WORSHIP Based on Psalm 9 [ Pastor / CONGREGATION ]

14   Minister: I will give thanks to the LORD with my whole heart; People: I will recount all of Your wonderful deeds.

15 Minister: I will be glad and exult in You; People: I will sing praise to Your name, O Most High.

16 Minister: The LORD is a stronghold for the oppressed, People: A stronghold in times of trouble.

17 Minister: And those who know Your name put their trust in You, People: For You, O LORD, have not forsaken those who seek You.

18 My Faith Looks Up To Thee
Hymn 539

19 My faith looks up to Thee, Thou Lamb of Calvary
Savior divine! Now hear me while I pray, Take all my guilt away, o let me from this day be wholly Thine!

20 May Thy rich grace impart strength to my fainting heart
My zeal inspire; as Thou hast died for me, O may my love to Thee Pure, warm, and changeless be, a living fire;

21 While life’s dark maze I tread, and griefs around me spread;
Be Thou my guide; Bid darkness turn to day, Wipe sorrow’s tears away, Nor let me ever stray from Thee aside;

22 When ends life’s passing dream, when death’s cold, threatening stream
Shall o’er me roll, Blest Savior, then, in love, Fear and distrust remove; O lift me safe above, a ransomed soul! *

23

24 Corporate Prayer of Confession ALL: Lord Jesus Christ, surely You have borne my griefs and carried my sorrows; yet I have considered You stricken by God, and afflicted.

25 But You were pierced through for my transgressions; You were crushed for my iniquities; the chastening for my well-being was upon You; and by Your scourging I am healed.

26 Like a sheep I have gone astray, I have turned to my own way; but the Lord has caused my iniquity to fall on You, my blessed Savior.

27 SILENT PRAYERS OF THANKSGIVING AND CONFESSION

28 Assurance of Pardon (Romans 8:31-34)
Assurance of Pardon (Romans 8:31-34)   Minister: If God is for us, who can be against us? He who did not spare His own Son but gave Him up for us all, how will He not also with Him graciously give us all things?

29 Who shall bring any charge against God’s elect? It is God who justifies. Who is to condemn? Christ Jesus is the one who died—more than that, who was raised – who is at the right hand of God, who indeed is interceding for us.

30 This is the good news of the gospel
This is the good news of the gospel! The peace of the Lord be with you always. People: And also with you.

31 Rejoice, Ye Pure In Heart hymn # 169

32 Rejoice, ye pure in heart, Rejoice, give thanks and sing;
Your festal banner Wave on high, The cross of Christ your King.

33 Rejoice, (Rejoice) Rejoice, give thanks and sing

34

35 Isaiah But He was wounded for our transgressions; He was bruised for our iniquities; the chastisement for our peace was upon Him, and by His stripes we are healed.

36 Roman 8:  And we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose for them.

37 Romans 15:13 “May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may abound in hope.”

38 Minister: The grass withers, and the flowers fade, but the Word of the Lord is forever. People: Thanks be to our great God

39 Chancel Choir “ We Love To Tell The Story ”

40 The Lord’s Prayer OUR FATHER, WHO ART IN HEAVEN, HALLOWED BE THY NAME.
THY KINGDOM COME, THY WILL BE DONE, ON EARTH AS IT IS IN HEAVEN. GIVE US THIS DAY OUR DAILY BREAD, AND FORGIVE US OUR DEBTS AS WE FORGIVE OUR DEBTORS; AND LEAD US NOT INTO TEMPTATION BUT DELIVER US FROM EVIL. FOR THINE IS THE KINGDOM, AND THE POWER, AND THE GLORY FOREVER AMEN

41 Just As I Am Hymn 488

42 Just as I am, without one plea But that Thy blood was shed for me;
And that Thou bidd’st me come to Thee; O Lamb of God, I come, I come; vs1

43 Just as I am, and waiting not To rid my soul of one dark blot;
To Thee whose blood can cleanse each spot; O Lamb of God, I come, I come; vs2

44 Just as I am, though tossed about With many a conflict, many a doubt;
Fighting and fears within, without, O Lamb of God, I come, I come; vs3

45 Just as I am, Thou wilt receive,
Wilt welcome, pardon, cleanse, relieve; Because Thy promise I believe; O Lamb of God, I come, I come;

52 What a Friend We Have in Jesus
Hymn 435

53 What a friend we have in Jesus, All our sins and griefs to bear!
What a privilege to carry Everything to God in prayer! O what peace we often forfeit, O what needless pain we bear, All because we do not carry verse 1

54 Have we trials and temptations? Is there trouble anywhere?
We should never be discouraged, Take it to the Lord in prayer. Can we find a friend so faithful Who will all our sorrows share? Jesus knows our every weakness, verse 2

55 Are we weak and heavy laden, Cumbered with a load of care?
Precious Savior, still our refuge - Take it to the Lord in prayer. Do thy friends despise, forsake thee? Take it to the Lord in prayer; In His arms He’ll take and shield thee, Thou wilt find a solace there. * verse 3
