11 Come, Thou Fount Of Every Blessing
Hymn 11

12 Come, Thou Fount of every blessing, Tune my heart to sing Thy grace;
Streams of mercy, never ceasing, call for songs of loudest praise; Teach me some melodious sonnet, sung by flaming tongues above; Praise His name, I’m fixed upon it, Name of God’s redeeming love

13 Hither to Thy love has blest me, Thou hast bro’t me to this place;
And I know Thy hand will bring me safely home by Thy good grace; Jesus sought me when a stranger, wandering from the fold of God; He, to rescue me from danger, Bought me with His precious blood;

14 O to grace how great a debtor daily I’m constrained to be;
Let Thy goodness, like a fetter, bind my wandering heart to Thee; Prone to wander, Lord, I feel it, prone to leave the God I love; Here’s my heart, o take and seal it, seal it for Thy courts above; *

16 [ Pastor/CONGREGATION ]
THE CALL TO WORSHIP Psalm 100 [ Pastor/CONGREGATION ]

17 Minister: Make a joyful noise to the LORD, all the earth
Minister: Make a joyful noise to the LORD, all the earth! Serve the LORD with gladness! Come into His presence with singing! People: Know that the LORD, He is God! It is He who made us, and we are His; we are His people, and the sheep of His pasture.

18 Minister: Enter His gates with thanksgiving, and His courts with praise! Give thanks to Him; bless His name! People: For the LORD is good; His steadfast love endures forever, and His faithfulness to all generations.

19 Confession of Faith: The Apostles’ Creed

20 ALL: I believe in God the Father Almighty, Maker of heaven and earth; And in Jesus Christ His only Son our Lord; who was conceived by the Holy Ghost, born of the virgin Mary,

21 suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, dead and buried; He descended into hell. The third day He rose again from the dead. He ascended into heaven and sitteth at the right hand of God the Father Almighty.

22 From thence He shall come to judge the quick and the dead
From thence He shall come to judge the quick and the dead. I believe in the Holy Ghost; the holy catholic church; the communion of saints;

23 the forgiveness of sins; the resurrection of the body; and the life everlasting. Amen.

24 Congregational Prayer of Confession ALL: Almighty and most merciful God; We acknowledge and confess that we have sinned against You in thought, word, and deed;

25 that we have not loved You with all our heart and soul, with all our mind and strength; and that we have not loved our neighbor as ourselves.

26 We ask You, O God, to forgive what we have been, to help us to change what we are, and of Your mercy to direct what we shall be;

27 so that we may now walk in the way of Your commandments, and do those things which are pleasing in Your sight; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Lord, hear our prayers.

28 SILENT PRAYERS OF THANKSGIVING AND CONFESSION

29 Words of Assurance and Pardon of the Gospel (1 John 4:10) Minister: In this is love, not that we have loved God but that He loved us and sent His Son to be the payment for our sins. This is the good news! People: Thanks Be to our great God!

30 There’s Something About That Name Hymn # 83

31 Jesus, Jesus, Jesus. There’s something about that name
Jesus, Jesus, Jesus! There’s something about that name! Master, Savior, Jesus! Like the fragrance after the rain. Jesus, Jesus, Jesus! Let all heaven and earth proclaim; Kings and kingdoms will all pass away, But there’s something about that name!

32

33 The Proclamation of Scripture

34 Ephesians 5:1-2 Follow God’s example, therefore, as dearly loved children and walk in the way of love, just as Christ loved us and gave himself up for us as a fragrant offering and sacrifice to God.

35 All Hail the Power of Jesus’ Name HYMN # 43

36 All hail the power of Jesus’ name
All hail the power of Jesus’ name! Let angels prostrate fall; Bring forth the royal diadem, And crown Him Lord of all; Bring forth the royal diadem, And crown Him Lord of all.

37 Ye chosen seed of Israel’s race, Ye ransomed from the fall, Hail Him who saves you by his grace, And crown Him Lord of all; Hail Him who saves you by his grace, And crown Him Lord of all.

38 Let every kindred, every tribe, On this terrestrial ball, To Him all majesty ascribe, And crown Him Lord of all; To Him all majesty ascribe, And crown Him Lord of all.

39 O that with yonder sacred throng We at His feet may fall
O that with yonder sacred throng We at His feet may fall! We’ll join the everlasting song, And crown Him Lord of all; We’ll join the everlasting song, And crown Him Lord of all.

46 What a Friend We Have in Jesus
Hymn 630

47 What a friend we have in Jesus,
All our sins and griefs to bear! What a privilege to carry Everything to God in prayer! O what peace we often forfeit, O what needless pain we bear, All because we do not carry

48 Have we trials and temptations?
Is there trouble anywhere? We should never be discouraged, Take it to the Lord in prayer. Can we find a friend so faithful Who will all our sorrows share? Jesus knows our every weakness,

Cumbered with a load of care? Precious Savior, still our refuge - Take it to the Lord in prayer. Do thy friends despise, forsake thee? Take it to the Lord in prayer; In His arms He’ll take and shield thee, Thou wilt find a solace there.
