Amazing Grace Hymn # 343

Amazing grace How sweet the sound That saved a wretch like me I once was lost, But now am found Was blind, but now I see

‘Twas grace that taught My heart to fear, And grace my fears relieved; How precious did That grace appear The hour I first believed

Through many dangers, Toils and snares, I have already come; ‘Tis grace hath brought me safe thus far, And grace will lead me home

When we’ve been there Ten thousand years Bright shining as the sun We’ve no less days to sing God’s praise Than when we’d first begun

[ Pastor / CONGREGATION ]
THE CALL TO WORSHIP Psalm 113 [ Pastor / CONGREGATION ]

Minister: Praise the LORD
Minister: Praise the LORD! Praise, O servants of the LORD, Praise the name of the LORD! People: Blessed be the name of the LORD from this time forth and forevermore!

Minister: From the rising of the sun to its setting, the name of the LORD is to be praised! People: The LORD is high above all nations, and His glory above the heavens!

Corporate Prayer of Confession ALL: O Lord God, Who inhabits eternity, the heavens declare Your glory, the earth Your riches, the universe is Your temple.

Your presence dwells immensity, yet You have of Your pleasure created life, and communicated happiness.

In You I live and have my being; I thank You for Your riches given to me in Jesus: for the unclouded revelation of Him in Your Word.

Help me to feel a need of His continual salvation; subdue in me the love of sin, let me know the need of renovation as well as of forgiveness, in order to serve and enjoy You forever.

SILENT PRAYERS OF THANKSGIVING AND CONFESSION

Assurance of Pardon (Psalm 43) Minister: Why are you cast down, O my soul, and why are you in turmoil within me? Hope in God; for I shall again praise Him, my salvation and my God. The peace of the Lord be with you always. People: And also with you.

I Love to Tell the Story Hymn # 444

I love to tell the story Of unseen things above, Of Jesus and His glory, Of Jesus and His love. I love to tell the story, Because I know ‘tis true; It satisfies my longings As nothing else can do.

I love to tell the story, ‘Twill be my theme in glory, To tell the old, old story Of Jesus and His love.

Scripture Readings: Exodus 20:5b-6

5. I, the Lord your God, am a jealous God who will not tolerate your affection for any other gods. I lay the sins of the parents upon their children; the entire family is affected - even children in the third and fourth generations of those who reject me.

6. But I lavish unfailing love for thousands of those who love me and obey my commands.

Minister: The grass withers, and the flowers fade, but the Word of the Lord is forever. People: Thanks be to our great God

The Lord’s Prayer OUR FATHER, WHO ART IN HEAVEN, HALLOWED BE THY NAME.
THY KINGDOM COME, THY WILL BE DONE, ON EARTH AS IT IS IN HEAVEN. GIVE US THIS DAY OUR DAILY BREAD, AND FORGIVE US OUR DEBTS AS WE FORGIVE OUR DEBTORS; AND LEAD US NOT INTO TEMPTATION BUT DELIVER US FROM EVIL. FOR THINE IS THE KINGDOM, AND THE POWER, AND THE GLORY FOREVER AMEN

Offertory Living For Jesus

THE DOXOLOGY PRAISE GOD FROM WHOM ALL BLESSINGS FLOW; PRAISE HIM ALL CREATURES HERE BELOW; PRAISE HIM ABOVE YE HEAVENLY HOST; PRAISE FATHER, SON AND HOLY GHOST.

How Great Thou Art

O Lord my God, when I in awesome wonder Consider all the worlds Thy hands have made, I see the stars, I hear the rolling thunder, Thy pow’r thro’out the universe displayed

Then sings my soul, my Savior God, to Thee; How great Thou art, how great Thou art! Then sings my soul, my Savior God to Thee: How great Thou art, how great Thou art!

When thro’ the woods and forest glades I wander And hear the birds sing sweetly in the trees, When I look down from lofty mountain grandeur, And hear the brook and feel the gentle breeze.

Then sings my soul, my Savior God, to Thee; How great Thou art, how great Thou art! Then sings my soul, my Savior God to Thee: How great Thou art, how great Thou art!

And when I think that God, His Son not sparing, Sent Him to die, I scarce can take it in, That on the cross, my burden gladly bearing, He bled and died to take away my sin.

Then sings my soul, my Savior God, to Thee; How great Thou art, how great Thou art! Then sings my soul, my Savior God to Thee: How great Thou art, how great Thou art!

When Christ shall come with shout of acclamation And take me home, what joy shall fill my heart! Then I shall bow in humble adoration, And there proclaim, my God, how great Thou art.

Then sings my soul, my Savior God, to Thee; How great Thou art, how great Thou art! Then sings my soul, my Savior God to Thee: How great Thou art, how great Thou art!
