The Civil War between North and South was a defining moment for the United States. It also was very hard into the cost of lifes and material things.

Dates The american civil war was in April 12, 1861 to April 9, it lasted like 5 years.

Interesting Facts The American Civil War lasted from 1861 to 1865.
South Carolina was the first state to separate, followed by Mississippi, Florida, Alabama and several others. The last man to die in combat was killed more than a month after the surrender ceremony, in a battle at Palmito Ranch in Texas. General "Stonewall" Jackson died during the Battle of Chancellorsville in He was shot by his own men, who thought he was the enemy

Our opinion In our opinion the civil war was terrible !!! And we thing that it was a lot of people dyed but is interesting the history of this.
