DESCRIPTION Made of multi-layered polyethylene (PE) plus a proprietary barrier layer. Closing mechanism is through the use of two-track ziplock. The TSL can be used for transporting dry agricultural commodities to be shipped in bags inside a container van. The TSL is a gastight material, translocation of moisture from the commodity into the container atmosphere is prevented. Combined effect of weather and insect activity will be minimized and totally eliminate the handling losses. Protects the commodities in transit from condensation, infestation and moisture ingress. Efficient gas barrier for O2 and CO2. Enables the separation of the commodity’s atmosphere from the container atmosphere or external contaminants or odors.

FEATURES It is made of recyclable/reusable plastic and can be reused as long as the material remains undamaged. It can be easily installed in various ways (i.e. Rope system). It is easy to repair if punctured.

1 2 3 PROCEDURES PREPARATION:
Ensure that container floor is free of any sharp objects that may damage the TSL. 2 Before installing the TSL, place a mat or thick cardboard in-between container’s floor and TSL for additional protection of the TSL. 3 The liner is marked such that the tie line stretches along the perimeter walls of the container.

4 INSTALLATION: Secure one-end of the nylon string to the hook on the side wall of the container. 5 Insert the free end of the nylon string to the first hook. 6 Then insert it to the pre-installed tape. The tapes are located one meter (almost) apart in such a way that it will be positioned.

7 In hanging the TSL, start from one side from the door going through the perimeter. Inserting the string to the tapes and hooks should be done in a uniform direction for ease of retrieving the string after loading. 8 Apply proper tension and secure the nylon strings to maximize sagging of liner for ease of loading. 9 Secure excess TSL material near the door perimeter to clear the door entrance for any excess TSL material and prevent damage.

10 Place another layer of mat or cardboard inside the TSL to protect the liner while loading. 11 Properly installed TSL for bagged commodity loading. 12 CHECK MOISTURE CONTENT: Check the moisture content of the commodity to ensure the MC is at a safe level.

13 14 15 COMMODITY LOADING: Manual loading.
Mechanical (Forklift) loading. 15 Make sure to leave at least 20cm distance between the roof of the container and the top of the stacks to prevent condensation.

16 SEALING: Drop down the excess material of TSL from the door perimeter. 17 Put ends of liner together to make way for sealing. 18 Manually zip a few centimeters enough to initially engage the combo slider.

19 Preferably, two persons are required for ease zipping. One will do the zipping and the other will hold the other end steady making both sections of the zipper straight line to avoid zipper length difference. 20 Moving the slider while the zipper or slider is curved will force one of the zipper sections to elongate. Close the TSL zip lock using the zipper slider. 21 Put down the TSL by pulling the nylon string all the way out of the container. The TSL will now drop and facilitate the escape of the air inside the TSL. The use of a vacuum pump may be an option to removed excess air.

22 Perform a pressure decay test (PDT). Check if the container meets the standard set for “gas tightness”. 23 CO2 FLUSHING: Open the zip lock of the outlet port to relieve excess pressure and to release air from the TSL-GHF. 24 Remove the Red Inlet cap of TSL-GHF and connect the pressure kit cap.

25 Position the CO2 cylinder horizontally on a weighing scale and take the weight of the CO2 cylinder. 26 Connect the pressure hose from the CO2 cylinder to Inlet cap using quick release connector before opening the ball valve, then the cylinder valve to start flushing. 27 CO2 needed for purging is based on the free space (total volume minus volume occupied by the commodity) and the internal voids.

28 Immediately close the outlet port through its zip lock after flushing. 29 Secure the excess material smoothly to the front of the load. 30 Closed container van, ready for dispatch.
