2 Classroom Procedures Learning begins when the bell rings. Be in your assigned seat and give your teacher your full attention. Come to class prepared. Bring ALL the materials you will need EVERY day. Use your AGENDA to record nightly homework assignments and stay organized.

6 Classroom Procedures Raise your hand to ask and answer questions…WAIT on the teacher to call on you. Leave your desk and group’s area clean. Remain in your desk, unless you have the teacher’s permission to get out of seat (unless you are sharpening your pencil or getting tissue to blow your nose).

8 Absences/Make-up Work It is YOUR RESPONSIBILITY to find out what work you missed, make it up, and turn it in to Ms. Watson. This includes classwork, homework, quizzes, projects, and CDAs. Students will have the same amount of time that they were absent to make-up missed assignments (3 days absence = 3 days to make-up work).

10 ELA Writing Expectations To write formal and informal pieces of various genres To follow the writing process from pre-write to final draft form (when required) To make a sincere effort to improve your writing through revision To edit final drafts carefully for grammar and spelling errors To meet writing deadlines Students will receive rubrics with specific assignment expectations and timelines
