2. Expected Time to Complete
INTRODUCTION
Mock Test 8 follows the pattern of Symbiosis Entrance Test (SET) wherein the students are subjected to the same level of difficulty both in terms of question type and level.
The mock test comprises of five sections with a total of 150 questions of one mark each.
A student is expected to attempt this test in an actual test like environment wherein he has 150 minutes to complete the test and thus need to schedule his/her time accordingly.

This section was of moderate level of difficulty. The section consisted of:

 The questions were of moderate difficulty. The strength of the argument could have been identified by analyzing its reasonability. If the statement can be definitely concluded considering the argument is true, the argument is strong. However, if there is a logical gap between the argument and the statement, the argument is weak. Here, all the questions should have been attempted.

The questions were slightly on the tougher side. They required a two-way approach where first the word was to be unjumbled and then its antonym to be identified.

 The questions ranged from moderate to difficult level. The question required a careful understanding of the given statement. Q.6 was tricky. So, overall 2 on 3 questions should have been attempted.

This section had 30 questions on Legal Aptitude comprising of both Legal Reasoning as well as Legal Knowledge. The section consisted of

Overall, the section was of Moderate difficulty level. The Legal Reasoning section specifically tested the ability of students to understand and interpret the legal principles and application of the same to the factual matrix to reach the best answer.
And, in order to answer the questions based on Legal Knowledge, students were expected to have basic knowledge of concepts under Constitutional Law, Law of Contracts, Torts, Criminal Law, Family Law and further to be acquainted with general legal principles.
An attempt between the range of would be considered a good attempt for this section.

Legal Reasoning: The Legal Reasoning part of mock 8 was very much attainable. It was dominated by questions from Criminal Law, Law of Contracts and Torts. Constitutional Law, Criminal Law, Law of Contract, Torts and General Legal Principles. A stalwart approach towards legal reasoning makes it a very scoring sub-section of the paper.
Legal Knowledge: The Legal Knowledge section had a fair distribution of questions from all the subjects i.e. Criminal Law, Torts, Constitution, Law of Contracts, Family Law and general principles of law.

10. Question analysis
Question 35: This question was from Constitutional law dealing with two principles, an explanation and a small set of facts. It was a very interesting question as it brought into picture the fundamental right of equality and various exceptions regarding it provided in Article 15 (this right has not been provided directly rather a gist of it has been provided in principle 2 and its explanation) .
In Question 35, The state can make special provisions for women and children as they are a reasonable classification falling under the guiding principle of article 14 that like should be treated alike and that unlike should be treated differently. Hence, option (d) i. e. (iii) and (iv) both are correct answers.
Question 36: It contained two principles and a small set of facts.
This question brings forth the topic of contingents contracts, i.e. future contracts. The gist of future contracts has been provided in second line of principle 1.
In Question 36, Karun is bound to deliver the chair as he agreed to deliver the chair. The fact that the chair is yet to be made doesn’t affect the contract.

16. GENERAL KNOWLEDGE
GK section of MOCK TEST – 8 has 30 questions in all. Unlike the previous test, this test gave static GK and current affairs an equal weight.
Static GK has 14 questions. Nevertheless, under static GK, more focus was on science of which there were total 8 questions.
Overall difficulty level of GK section was easy.
There were total 16 questions from Current affairs, which were mainly based on personalities. Apart from it questions were also from places and from misc. fields too.
The difficulty level of current affairs was easy.
