EAP – Early Assessment Program
All students participate in EAP by completing the Smarter Balanced Summative Assessments for English language arts/literacy and mathematics in May of their junior year. Students must authorize the release of their scores to the CSU and CCC systems. The release of the CAASPP results will not affect a student’s application for admission. Results are only used to determine a student’s placement after he or she has been admitted to the university. If your student does not participate in the EAP or scores poorly on the test, your student may need to take the ELM (entry level mathematics) or EPT (English Placement Test) for the CSUs or participate in the CSUs Early Start Program. This program takes place the summer after senior year and is designed to strengthen your students math or English skills. Go to for more information
25
Testing SAT You can list as an SAT score recipient. The SAT institution code is CSUs will then store your scores for ALL CSU campuses to utilize. If you have not yet sent your scores to either a CSU campus or you can request this at ACT If you have listed a CSU campus as an ACT score report recipient, you can use the ACT Scores Manager to release your scores to additional campuses. Before you can use the ACT Scores Manager, you must first have arranged for your scores to be sent to a CSU campus.
