61 Bed Nursing Home 20 Bed Assisted Living Pharmacy Medical Clinic Physiotherapy Clinic As was presented at the first public meeting, the proposed redevelopment will hopefully include the following:

3 Community Enhancements
Based on feedback received to date, maintaining and enhancing existing greenspace is important to the community. Establishing a permanent location for a daycare and transportation service for seniors were also frequently mentioned.

Negotiate lease agreements with pharmacy, medical clinic Negotiate funding agreement with Department of Health Begin application process with Town

Ideally: 5 acres in size Within Town Serviced Retail Friendly Age Friendly Community Supported Evaluated to date: 5 private, 3 municipal

Private land Great size and price Services may be a challenge Poor site for retail

Private land Great retail Expensive Small site (building height variance ?)

8 Land Option #3: Hwy 325 (next to utility)

Municipal land Restricted use Waterway/ environmental issues (pyritic slate) Good retail Expensive – relocation of sports field/pool/playground

Private land and surplus municipal land Sub-divide municipal land (approx. 4 of 16 acres) Entrances, parking, lighting and landscaping improvements – preferably in cooperation with Mahone Bay Centre Retains greenspace (current soccer field) and ravine/forest
