1. Christ Church Primary School

2. We are a primary school in Chadderton which is in Oldham, a town quite close to Manchester. There are 270 pupils in our school organised in to 9 classes. There are usually 30 children in each class. We have 11 teachers and 12 teaching assistants who work with the children.
Our school has won many awards. We are an Ambassador school for being Eco friendly and we have achieved the International award for our work with Comenius.

3. We are a very busy school that has lots of activities going on
We are a very busy school that has lots of activities going on. We have specialist drama and music teachers who teach the children each week. We are currently learning how to play mandolins and samba drums.
We really enjoy playing sports and have many different clubs running such as football, cricket, hand ball, running and Zumba.
Our school has always been an Eco friendly school. We have Eco warriors and learning councillors, these are children who help to promote our eco friendly ideas across the school.

5. Oldham is a town that has lots of history
Oldham is a town that has lots of history. It is an old cotton mill town. It has a football team called Oldham Athletic who play at Boundary Park. There are lots of things to do in the town such as shopping, walking in Saddleworth and it even has it’s own art gallery.

6. Manchester is a very well known city, particularly because of it’s well known football teams, Manchester City and United.
A popular soap opera, Coronation Street is also filmed in Manchester.
