2. Introduction The people of Oldham would like to take you on an experience of where they live, the places they visit and what they like to do. They would like you to enjoy this experience and remember it as a life time opportunity and use this in your life.

3. Places of interest In Oldham there are lots of interesting places like parks, swimming pools and much more. There are many different parks around Oldham like Dunwood Park which is a small park but it has lots of activities. Also there is a library where you can borrow books from or even by them. The library is very useful and there is a music centre where people can learn to play instruments.

4. Location of Oldham Oldham is in the north west of England near Manchester. Oldham is the south of Rochdale, it is also west of Huddersfield. Oldham is in the UK. (United Kingdom). It is close to major motorways so it is easy to get to from anywhere in the country. It is also on the edge of the Pennine Mountain range that stretches down the UK.

5. St. Joseph’s in Oldham In their school they have eight classrooms. They learn a lot in their school and all of the things they learn are exciting. Also at Saint Joseph’s they have a sports day every year; the sports that they take part in are running, sack races,egg and spoon races and many more. The children think that the best things about Saint Joseph’s are playing killer ball in PE with are superb teacher Mr. Needle, playing on the laptops and computers at wet break and going mind blowing school trips

6. Sports in the Area There is a sport called football which Oldham has their own team that is in the third tier of the English football league. The team is called Oldham Athletic. Oldham play football teams like Peterborough and Rochdale. Oldham has played in the Premier League. Oldham also has a rugby team called Roughyeds. They are named after their tough material hats that the people of Oldham wore in the 1800s.
