2.  The people of Oldham would like to take you on an experience of where they live, the places they visit and what they like to do.

3.  Cotton mills are very popular in the history of Oldham. They wore clogs in the mills. There were more millionaires in Oldham than in the world. Today most cotton mills are knocked down. Before they were knocked down Oldham was the largest cotton mill town.

4. They have a peace garden which they have just finished building. The peace garden is between the two playgrounds.They also have a stars in their eyes singing competition which the children can take part in. They have PTA events which include discos and egg competitions. St Joseph’s is the only catholic school in Shaw. The children at St Joseph’s are spectacular at sports. The Children have many trophies for it. St Joseph’s have lots of after school clubs such as Football, netball and many more. They also have other events like world book day.

5. Spindles is an amazing shopping centre with lots of shops. The Oldham Coliseum is fun to watch plays and is near Mario’s the Italian restaurant. You could also go to McDonalds that is another restaurant. The people of Oldham also like to visit a place called Bouncers, which is a room full of trampolines.

6. Swimming is a fun sport, that the people of Oldham like to do. There are other places like Pure Dance Academy and many other Amateur sports. Oldham rugby league Football club Also known as the roughyeds they have been to the final of division one 5 times but unfortunately they lost every game. The people of Oldham love to play sport to keep them in good shape. It’s a big part of their lives. There are other types of sport in Oldham like martial arts and athletics.
